Shadow Characters

Pencil on Paper / 21 x 30 & 30 x 42 cms / 2012

These initial shadowed URBO characters represent early manifestations of the urban body. Partially absorbed by darkness, they exist in a state of emergence, where identity is still forming through proximity to architecture and space. Neither fully defined nor entirely anonymous, the figures embody transition, suggesting how the city shapes its inhabitants long before they become visible as individuals.
