Frogs

Inspired by a Chinese saying about a frog who knows only the well it lives in, this ink drawing reflects on early childhood in the city. Two babies are shown within an environment that feels familiar yet far larger and more complex than they can recognise. The city exists around them in fragments, felt, seen, and lived in, but not yet fully understood. The work reflects how we can inhabit a place long before we become aware of its scale, structure, or meaning.
